New addition to the Fairy Garden

I spied this at my local vendors mall today and just had to have it.  I am having a hard time fining fairy items that I really liked.  When I saw her, I had to take her home with me. I put her in my big fairy garden along with these mushrooms.  I still have not started my mini fairy garden.  I am looking for a container to get started, and that was my intentions for going to the vendors mall today, but I did not come home empty handed. Sorry about the pictures, it has been raining here all day.

I would love to know what is making my roses do this?  I don't know if it is the rain or something else, maybe I will google it.

My New Journey

Yes, of course I have, I am so flip-foppish, I have  started a new journey..Art Journaling. I am very new to this and have been wanting to start an art journal, so I have now started one. I just got a composition book out and it sat there for a few days, I did not know what to do or how to start. I googled it and found examples, and there the little composition book sat on the coffee table blank.  I thought of my favorite saying and what I tell my children all the time, life is what you make it!! I read some where to start art journaling, just do it! I did it. I used colored pencils and colored a back ground and wrote my saying on the page...and so it begins!

Please excuse her, this is the very first time I have actually tried to draw, it looks so funny to me!

 

 

This is my second drawing, I like her much better than the first.

All this time I told people I could not draw, well look at me, it may not be pretty, but you can get the jest of what it is! lol

I am so excited about this new adventure, if anyone would like to join me on this adventure let me know! We can journey together.

I have not posted in a while...

I sure have missed posting on my blog lately, but I have not had any extra time.  My dad has suffered from five strokes in the past and now has cataracts and the machine can not  detect that he has any eye sight.  Monday he will have his first surgery for one of his eyes.  In them mean time he has fallen several times this week and my mom can not lift him, she is a cancer patient herself. She is also a small lady, like myself. So, I have been spending any extra time I have with them, and then some. I have regretfully had to drop out of some swaps during this time.  You guys know I love me some swaps! :)  I am not complaining, just explaining to you guys why I have not posted.  LIFE happens!

What I've been up to..VACATION and Winner of Lace Giveaway

I had a wonderful Vacation in Destin, Florida.  It is so beautiful there! Although a big cool for me, the kids had a wonderful time in the water.  If we had waited until mid May, I probably would have gotten in the water.  We all had a great time of sunning and eating and relaxing, a much need break for us all.

The water is so pretty and the waves sound great, so soothing to a tired soul.

I really wanted to get a great picture of the sun setting, but every night at sunset we were to busy eating at great restaurants! Oh well, maybe next time!
