Anberlyn turns 1!

I can not believe it has been 1 year since this beautiful baby girl came into my life!  I never believed in love at first sight until I had my two boys, and when my wonderful little grand daughter was born.  She has been such a blessing to all of our family!

Mr. and Mrs. Snowman/DIY Ornament

This is an ornament I made for a swap Amy is hosting over @ One Artsy Mama
http://www.oneartsymama.com/2012/11/ornament-exchange-link-up-party.html . This was so easy.

Use two Styrofoam balls for each snow person, glue them together, paint white glue on them and roll in glitter.  After they dry you can add any embellishments you like. I use clay (bake-able) for the eyes and nose.

I now pronounce you...... Mr. and Mrs. Snowman!

My swap partner has received this, so now I can post!

Thrift Store Finds

Another adventure at the thrift store yesterday.  I got felt motifs, off white tulle, 4 heart ornaments, those styrofoam things (I don't know what they are originally for, but I'm sure I can find something to do with them), the vintage reindeer (so cute), elf, Santa and angel, tu tu pom poms, and the shiny brights, all for $9.62.  Pretty good deal I'd say!

On the Shiny Brites, I would like to know the difference.....

between these.....

and these?  See how the top of the ornaments are, where you hang them up?
Does anyone know?

I'm going to put these in a jar to enjoy!

Wishing every one a great week!

What happened to simple?

Well as you can see, I vetoed the simple idea and put up two trees, yes, two trees and I really don't have the room for them, but what the hay, it is Christmas time.  I had to have one for the boys, traditional with the red and of course with my grand baby Anberlyn, we had to have a girly, frilly tree.
